bulletBOOK ISLE & Artisans Galley is located in Stevens Point, Wisconsin USA.  BI carries mainly used paperback books.  Through our partnership with eBOOKISLE, we also order new books (Hard cover, trade paperbacks, audiobooks, children's stories and more) as well as electronic books from certain publishers via download.

Book Isle has been in Stevens Point, WI since 1983 and on the Internet with Cy since 1997.  Book Isle's Web pages and Email are maintained by one person, Cy; so personal schedule sometimes delays response.  If there is an urgent request, PLEASE contact the store direct during business hours. (US Central Time).  Click here for store location and contact information.  Cy "does not do phones" and Michele "does not do Internet"... which makes for a good partnership. (Grin -- Michele Does do windows... Cy only does WindowsXP Pro)

  2. Clearance Catalog
    BI's TREASURE CATALOG
    has sale listings of specially discounted used books.  These are Limited Quantity and available only while supply lasts.

    When we have CLEARANCE overstock, BOOK BRICKS MAY BE AVAILABLE for 10 cents a book plus P&H (Est 6# shipping per BOOK BRICK). 

    Our shelf stock is not online or in a database.
      If you would like to know if we have a used book available, please email us or call the store and we will check our shelves.  NEW books are available at a discount whenever possible.

    Book Isle uses US suggested cover/retail price for DISCOUNTING of paperbacks -   Most title requests of shelf [used] books are 50% off retail price.  We list the occasional hard cover books available at paperback price!  We have a minimum book price of $1 - but for large orders we ignore this and use actual cover price to figure totals.   HTF and Collectible books are priced as marked.
     
  3. Shopping Catalog
    We have the privilege of working with several small press publishers and can offer direct ordering.  NOTE: Some books are offered by publisher in print format only OR by Download only!  Please be sure what format you are ordering as they cannot be exchanged.  Please read our eFAQ page for further information on download books available. 

    We order new books regularly @ mid and end of month; so order new any 'in print' title in advance if you wish.  If you wish a book and do not see it in the shopping catalog, please email us - as fellow book addicts, we will be happy to help fill your book wish.
     
bulletUsed Book Description:
bullet "Good or Better" - These books are used but in reasonably good condition, sometimes looking almost new.
bullet "Well Read" - These books are x-library or Small noticed rips or excessive cover creases but sturdy and complete books to satisfy any book addict.
bullet "Reader's Copy" - Definite rips or cover damage.  Book is complete, but you may wish to use a book cover. 

Ordering, Payment and Shipping

bulletFor email or telephone orders, please remember to tell us your mailing address and if you wish Priority mail or Media Mail [Book rate with Delivery Confirmation] or International Shipping.  If you wish to have your package insured please let us know.  Book Isle is not responsible for uninsured mail.
bulletWe will confirm your order and calculate Postage & Handling.  Books will be placed on hold shelf awaiting your confirmation and payment for your order.
 
bulletSpecial Orders will not be charged until ready to ship book, but we will need charge card information on file with order confirmation.

SHIPPING

bulletBook order will be sent upon receipt of payment.  Book Isle usually ships the next business day after payment is confirmed.  M, W, F orders are taken direct to main US postal office.
bulletUSPS Media Mail with Shipping Confirmation is standard for US customers unless PRIORITY MAIL is requested
bulletFlat-rate International Priority Mail for orders is standard.  We do ship M-BAG/ Books for large orders.
bulletSHIPPING AND HANDLING FEES: 
Book Isle charges actual postage plus 40¢ a package and 5.55% Handling Fee.
Postal Insurance is optional, but BOOK ISLE will not be responsible for replacement of lost or damaged items if not insured.  Insurance is not available for International Shipments.

Return Credit Policy

bulletIf we have made a mistake in processing your order (missing or incorrect books), we will be glad to give you credit if we cannot replace book. We are human and make occasional errors and appreciate your patience and understanding. 
 
bulletIf your insured package arrives damaged, please save all packing materials and merchandise. Neither UPS or the Post Office will process claims without these. E-mail us with details and we will proceed from there. The Post Office will not process claims for lost packages until 30 days (longer for overseas) after they are sent AND ONLY IF THEY ARE INSURED.
 
bullet We can not give credit for things beyond our control: for example, lost items or delivery delays or mistakes made by the Postal Service (such as loss or damage to your package). We are not responsible for items delayed, lost or damaged in shipping
 
bulletUnauthorized returns will be handled on an 'individual basis'.  P&H can NOT be refunded, but we always try to be fair and often refund all but our expenses.
